Mazghouny & Co assisted Scatec with signing the agreement concluded with the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (Echem) and Misr Fertilizers Production Company (Mopco). The signing took place on 02 December 2023, during COP28 in Dubai (UAE), and was witnessed by HE Eng Tarek El-Molla, the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and HE Dr Rania Al-Mashat, the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation.

The agreement follows from the joint development agreement signed between the three partners earlier this year in February 2023, and relates to “Damietta Green Ammonia SAE” (a public free zone company) which incorporation was carried out virtually by Mazghouny & Co team in the presence of HE Dr Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, as the first Egyptian company to be registered digitally with the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) of Egypt.
