Mazghouny & Co has advised solar energy solutions provider Amarenco Solarize Egypt on its agreement signed in November 2023, with top carpets and rugs company Oriental Weavers to power one of its factories in the Tenth of Ramadan area in Egypt with solar energy.
The 1.3MW solar power plant will provide 80% of the factory’s energy needs and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 2,300 tonnes annually, which aligns with Oriental Weavers’ commitment to sustainable operations and the goal of transitioning all its factories to clean energy.
Mazghouny & Co team advising ASE on the agreement comprised Khadiga Abou-Zeid, supported by Yehia Zakaria, as part of the team’s ongoing advisory services to the Amarenco and SolarizEgypt partnership.
