Energy and Power

Egypt is a major energy producer in North Africa. The country provides the three conditions required for multinationals to be confident in committing to FDI in a particular region: a growing market, geopolitical stability, and a robust future. Renewable energy is a particularly dynamic sector, addressing world governments’ requirements to reduce carbon emissions and retain security and sustainability of supply.

We can manage all legal matters relating to your project, including acquiring land and buildings, licensing, IP, labour law, contracts, and tax.

Our lawyers have spent their careers advising multinational corporations, investors, and governments on the complex and often challenging energy and power sector. We provide accurate, commercially astute advice on the entire lifespan of an energy project, from due diligence, gaining government consent, and structuring the venture, through to the financing, construction, operation, maintenance and ultimately the sale and distribution of the end product. We also advise on energy sector mergers and acquisitions and expanding operations into new rapidly growing markets such as renewable/green energy and green fuels.

We work with all stakeholders in the venture, including the legal, operations, finance, and business development teams; ensuring everyone receives the advice they need to meet their targets in a seamless, cost-conscious manner.

With years of experience in the energy and power sector, we can also assist with putting your teams in contact with banks, investors, environmental consultants, and potential business partners.

We can manage all legal matters relating to your project, including acquiring land and buildings, licensing, labour law, contracts, and tax.
