Mazghouny & Co has advised Egyptian-based venture Engazaat, the first integrated independent power and water producer in the country and award-winner among the first cohort of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, on their agreement with Aswaaq Misr for the sale of agricultural products on www.agrimisr.com, the first integrated digital agricultural platform in Egypt, established by e-Finance Investment Group in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Central Bank of Egypt and the Agricultural Bank of Egypt as well as other national banks, with the main objective of becoming the destination of the agricultural eco-system in Egypt, by being an intermediary between all stakeholders and providing a comprehensive e-marketplace that allows for the display, marketing and trade of various agricultural goods and services.
Engazaat launched the cooperation earlier this month as part of The Future Energy Show of The Solar Show MENA 2023 which took place in Cairo, and initiated its participation in the platform offering with Chint solar panels. This comes as part of the partnership between the Chinese manufacturer and Engazaat, its official distributor in Egypt. Mazghouny & Co’s senior counsel Ahmed Mostafa and associate Yehia Zakaria had advised Engazaat on the International Distribution Agreement executed with Chint earlier this year.
This new digital solution is part of Engazaat’s work aiming to disrupt the local agri-business by facilitating the activities of farmers, agri-producers and land-owners, and other stakeholders involved in the agricultural eco-system, through providing value-added services, supply, financing, and awareness at all levels, using the latest technology tools.
